Straight Twin
This is the third crankshaft foundry pattern I've come across. While many foundry molds are inscrutable, these machine parts are readily recognizable and works of art, especially when it comes to the impressive skills of the pattern-making craftsman. This mold is for a two-cylinder straight twin engine one would see in a motorcycle, small watercraft, or snowmobile. The piece comes mounted on (what I think) is a steel transmission gear.
Medium:
Wood Foundry Pattern, Steel
Dimensions:
9.5” tall x 3.5” wide x 3.5” deep
