Good design is the simplest working solution to a problem. There are times when I tell myself, “You shouldn’t have chosen graphic design for a career”, but that discipline gives me the tools to express myself in the 3rd dimension. My sculptures strive to tell a story with as few elements as possible. It’s a measured process full of limitations; expected and unexpected.

I like old things. They have soul because most are hand-made and come with plenty of baggage. I lean towards vintage objects that were part of something, but challenge myself to see beyond the surface of what they once were. The end result can be most rewarding thanks to discovery, association, and illumination.
