As everyone’s favorite cinematic computer, HAL’s reputation precedes itself. When I procured this massive wood foundry mold, it was apparent what it’s end use was going to be. Weighing in at a hefty 28 lbs., the wooden form could have been cast as a nut for a very large bolt, the kind of which one would see on a bridge.
