Here is a very cool wooden foundry pattern for casting a two-cylinder crankshaft, probably for use in marine engines, small motorcycles, or tractors. Made from solid cherry wood, the craftmanship necessary to make such a complex machine part is impressive. The shaft comes mounted to wide cylindrical base and a big hunk of steel was inserted to counterbalance the sculpture.
